If you’ve been in your home for longer than five years, you’re not alone. According to recent data from First American, homeowners are staying put much longer than historical averages (see graph below):Is It Time To Move on to a New Home? | Simplifying The Market

As the graph shows, before 2008, homeowners sold their houses after an average of just five years. Today, that number has more than doubled to over 10 years. The housing industry refers to this as your tenure.

Thank you Jeremiah! I have been through seven escrows in my life and never have I had an easier, more pleasant experience, than with Jeremiah. He took care of everything. This sale was an investment property, with tenants holding a lease that still had ten months. Jeremiah met with the tenants, arranged for showings, coordinated termite repair, etc., directly with them. I just kicked back and waited for his updates and the closing check $$$! The best real estate transaction ever!
